Tony
DiBella is President of Organization Transitions, Inc. and Adjunct Professor
of Management at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
He holds a Ph.D. in organization studies from the MIT Sloan School of
Management where he was a visiting scholar at the Center for Organizational
Learning. Tony has analyzed
company operations literally around the world and consulted with a wide range
of organizations including AT & T, the Boston Police Department, Fidelity
Investments, Foxboro Corp., IBM Global Services, Pfizer, SAFECO Insurance, the
Uganda Central Credit Union, and the YMCA.
He is co-developer of the
Organizational Learning Inventory and the Healthcare
Learning Inventory and has also taught at Boston College and in the
Executive MBA program at the University of Rhode Island.
As a scholar-practitioner, he has published in a variety of forums
including the Sloan Management Review and the Journal of Management
Studies and has spoken at over 100 professional conferences.
His first book, How Organizations Learn: An Integrated Strategy for
Building Learning Capability, was published in 1998 by Jossey-Bass; his
second book, Learning Practices: Assessment and Action for Organizational
Improvement, is published by Prentice-Hall (2001).
Tony is a founding member of the Society for Organizational Learning
and a fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology.

cope with change and learn how to be more effective. Designer and
copyrightholder, the Organizational Learning Inventory and the Healthcare
Learning Inventory. Designed and conducts "Building Organizational
Learning Capability" program. Clients have included Arthur Andersen, AT&T,
Exxon Chemical, H.B. Zachry, the Healthcare Forum, IBM, Motorola, and PLAN
International.
